Summer is in full force here at Diamond Tail. We are having our usual heat and monsoons. The monsoons bring us thunderstorms and outstanding rainbow views from the porch.

Happy New Year from Diamond Tail

We hope that your holidays were full of joyous celebrations. Diamond Tail Ranch is beginning the New Year with a new layout in Su Casa magazine providing information about the beautiful master-planned community and offering lots in Phases I and II. Visit Su Casa Magazine at:

Thanksgiving At Diamond Tail

The air is crisp and the views are clearer than ever in this late fall season. We at Diamond Tail Ranch are very grateful for the beautiful expanse of land surrounding us here. We have had our first dusting of snow but there are still a few flowers holding on before they hide away for winter. There is also warmth. The community of Diamond Tail is preparing a Holiday Progressive Dinner and the Placitas Holiday Sale is bustling with visitors from all directions. As always, the local artists are offering an eclectic selection of art, furniture, and specialty foods in preparation for the holidays.

There are two houses available for viewing in the Diamond Tail community if you would like to arrange a visit. Please take a look at the ristrarealty.com website that has recently been updated.

NM Homes of Enchantment Parade

We have had three successful NM Homes of Enchantment Parade weekends sharing the custom adobe parade home built by Matt Pacheco, and a couple of other open houses at Diamond Tail. We hope that you were able to visit and enjoy the gorgeous views, clean air, and the tour. Over 1300 people came, and many of you left wonderful comments on the Parade home – ‘Breath-taking’, ‘very nice layout and design’, ‘extra island in the kitchen adds so much more space, love the pizza oven and backsplash at the range’, ‘beautiful woodwork (doors) throughout’, and ‘nice open layout’. The casita also received rave reviews for being the ‘perfect size and great proximity to the house’ and ‘beyond compare’. Thank you for coming!

Last Weekend for NM Parade of Homes!

124 Diamond Tail Rd. has been full of interested visitors over the last few weekends! The winner of Best Bathroom in its parade grouping, the home is full of delightful and carefully crafted details that create a sense of unified warmth and calm throughout. Guests have been happy to pass the time gazing out at the magnificent and never-to-be-disturbed view, resting by one of the outdoor fireplaces, or exploring the developed designs at every turn. An authentic adobe, environmentally sound, and absolutely gorgeous, this home is worth touring. We hope you can stop by for the final days of New Mexico’s Homes of Enchantment Parade next weekend (October 23, 24, and 25).

2009 NM Homes of Enchantment Parade

Diamond Tail’s featured home in this year’s Homes of Enchantment Parade has been awarded the best bathroom in its parade grouping! A traditional adobe style home, it is full of customized details that provide additional functions, consider the environment, and warm the heart. Please see the Enchantment Parade page on this website for a full article on our entry.

We hope you can join us next weekend to see this extraordinary home, meet the builder, Matt Pacheco, and even visit some other homes at Diamond Tail Ranch.

Our hike to the Petroglyphs was fun!

The Placitas Association hike to visit the recently catalogued petroglyphs at Diamond Tail Ranch was a great success. Many Placitas and Diamond Tail residents spent the day together enjoying the educational showing of the ancient rock art by experts in the field: Dr. Milford Fletcher, Maynard and others. Community members were excited to explore some of the history of our area together.
